What is Causa Prima?
Causa Prima is the agentic execution layer for the office of the CFO — the first agent-to-agent platform for both sides of every B2B transaction. Is Causa Prima related to Taulia?
Causa Prima is a new, independent company. Its CEO, Maex Ament, previously co-founded Taulia, which was acquired by SAP. Causa Prima is not affiliated with Taulia or SAP.
How is Causa Prima different from an AP/AR tool or an AI-native ERP?

Isn’t this just another AP/AR tool?
No. AP/AR tools digitize paperwork; Causa Prima eliminates the work and acts across the boundary between two companies, where single-sided tools have no authority. The tool is the agent, and the network is the moat.
How is Causa Prima different from an AI-native ERP?
An ERP — even an AI-native one — is the system of record inside one company. Causa Prima is an execution layer that acts across systems and across company borders. It is complementary, not competitive: it plugs into the ERP rather than replacing it.
What about established B2B networks?
Established networks largely move documents (EDI and file exchange). They do not carry agent capability, a shared context graph, or autonomous negotiation. Causa Prima integrates with that kind of infrastructure rather than competing with it.
What happens if an agent makes a wrong payment?
In the first version, agents advise and humans act — nothing external happens without approval. As autonomy grows, every action stays bounded by a hard policy envelope: per-transaction limits, daily caps, counterparty whitelists, and mandatory approvals. LLMs inform; rules enforce.
